Essie-Nail Polish Review

image

For Christmas I got this pretty Essie nail polish set called A Sprinkle in Pink. It has two gorgeous shades, Fiji and A Cut Above.

As Christmas is long gone these polishes are no longer being sold in a set, but as they’re regular Essie shades you can buy them individually.

Let’s get on to the colours. Fiji is a pale pink and I love the fact that this is a subtle, feminine colour that is a great shade for everyday wear.

When applied it does look more of a white pink than it does in the bottle and it also took three layers to get an even colour, but I still love how this looked on.

The second shade is A Cut Above and it’s a dusty pink glitter. It’s less of a nail polish and more large chunks of glitter, so this doesn’t work well used on its own.

I found that applied over a plain colour like Fiji, it gives a pretty scattering of glitter, whilst letting the base colour show through.

You can also layer the glitter up more heavily to create a stand out look like pictured below.

Have you tried either of these colours? Let me know your thoughts.
