Kiko Lip Product Review

Recently Kiko have opened stores in the UK, so I’ve been popping in to treat myself to some of the Italian brands makeup. Whilst I’ve mostly bought eyeshadows, this post will focus on the lip products I recently purchased. So here’s what I got and my thoughts on each product.

Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipstick in shade 802

I don’t own many lipsticks as I usually find them too dry or that they have an unpleasant taste, however, as I’m keen to try new products, I bought two of Kiko’s Stylo lipsticks.

All of Kiko’s products are numbered rather than named and this lipstick is a peachy nude shade. I’ve yet to find a nude colour that flatters my fair complexion and sadly I’m still looking. Once applied, this nude slightly lightens the colour of my lips but doesn’t wash me out as much as most nudes. It’s not as brown toned as many lipsticks I’ve tried, but this colour just adds nothing to my look.

Another thing I don’t like about this lipstick is that the product builds up and forms a line along the middle of my lips. I’m not sure why this particular shade does this, as this doesn’t happen with the other Stylo lipstick I bought. Overall, I don’t love the colour or the wear of this, so I can’t see myself using it much.

Ultra Glossy Stylo Lipstick in shade 803

This is the second Stylo lipstick that I bought and it’s shade 803, which is a soft rose pink. Both Stylo lipsticks are fairly sheer, so the colour is subtle, but I much prefer this shade to the nude 802. I was expecting a bit more colour from this lipstick, but it does add a healthy pop to my skin. I quite like the soft pink shade of this, but it hasn’t totally wowed me.

The lipstick does sit more evenly on my lips and there is no build up of product, unlike the nude colour. Both Stylo lipsticks are pretty hydrating, but I would say 803 feels more wet and glossy than shade 802.

3D Instant Volume Lipgloss in shade 204

The third and final product I got is a 3D plumping lipgloss. This gloss is a very light pink with some glitter and is meant to help increase the volume of your lips. My first impressiobs of this lipgloss were bad, but I have grown to like it a fair bit more. The colour is incredibly subtle, much lighter than I even expected and it’s a very thick, sticky gloss, which is why it’s taken me a while to get used to it. It does tingle slightly when applied, as it is a volumizing gloss, but I wouldn’t say I noticed any difference in the fullness of my lips.

Overall, I don’t hate the colour or feel of this product like when I first tried it, but I’m still underwhelmed.
