Another month has flown by! I haven’t used up quite as many beauty bits this month, but here’s my May Empties.
L’Oreal True Match Crayon Concealer
I won’t say too much about this concealer as it pops up in my empties all the time, but it’s a great crayon concealer that works really well on the oilier parts of my face.

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Aid
This is another item I won’t say too much on, as I’ve mentioned it in various posts before, but this is my absolute favourite lip product! It offers brilliant hydration and the lemon oil in this lip balm helps exfoliate my lips. It also smells and tastes good.
Repurchase? I already have.
Grounded Chocolate Orange Lip Balm
I mentioned in a previous post that I’d purchased Grounded’s Coffee Body Scrub and they also do a range of lip balms. I got this Chocolate Orange one, which I’ve enjoyed using.
The scent could have been a bit more chocolatey, but it feels very hydrating and wet once applied. I would describe this as applying melted Coconut Oil straight on to your lips, as it has the same wet feeling. Funnily enough when I checked the ingredients, this does contain Coconut Oil, as well as Cocoa Butter, which is also good for hydrating lips.
Repurchase? I really enjoyed using this, so I probably will. However, it doesn’t seem to hydrate my lips quite as much as Lanolips does.
Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet
This is the third and final lip balm and I’ve definitely saved the worst for last! I was really excited to purchase this as I’d heard great things about it, but I found it to be truly awful. The scent is pleasant enough and I do like the cute egg shape of the product, but the formula is useless.
When applying this to my lips it felt dry, so I was doubtful it would do much, but what it did do was make my lips worse. After a few weeks of using this, my lips were dry, bleeding and peeling, so as I was near the end of the product anyway, I stopped using it.
Repurchase? Definitely not!
Lush Tea Tree Toner Water
Lush’s Tea Tree Toner has been my go to toner for years now. It works well for my combination skin, as it’s super gentle and non-drying. This toner is so gentle and delicate, I can use it across my eyes with no stinging and it’s never irritated my skin.
Repurchase? Of course! I always make sure I have a bottle of this.
Tony Moly 5-Layer Cotton Sheet
I’ve heard a lot about how great cotton sheets are for your face, as they’re meant to be thicker and softer. I bought these ones by the South Korean brand Tony Moly and whilst I did find them slightly thicker than regular cotton pads, I certainly didn’t find them any softer on my skin. They were also a bit too small for when I was taking my makeup off, so I found these disappointing.
Repurchase? No, I will stick to buying regular cotton wool pads.
Dr.Ceuticals Tummy Tone
Now I know there’s no miracle product that will completely tone your stomach or increase weight loss, but this is the best tummy gel I’ve ever tried. If I use this once or twice a day, it really does seem to help de-bloat my stomach, compared to when I don’t use it. It does take a while to start working, as it does recommend using it for 3 months to see results, however, I feel that it works much quicker than that.
Repurchase? I have! I’ll be using this more as summer is on the way.
Lee Stafford Argan Oil
Nothing quite compares to the proper Moroccan Oil, but this does a fairly good job at trying. It’s not the cheapest high street oil, but it works a lot better on my hair than many others. I apply this to damp hair before drying and it has stopped my hair from looking and feeling as dry.

Palmolive Chocolate Passion Shower Cream
This shower cream is currently one of my favourite products and I used it up super quick. It smells gorgeous, like melted chocolate and it feels rich and creamy on my skin. I absolutely love it.
Repurchase? I already have, as mentioned in my latest shopping haul.
The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Lotion
I got this in my Body Shop calendar way back in December and I’ve loved it. When I first tried this I didn’t completely love the smell, but it has really grown on me. It has a light, fresh scent that’s a mix of green tea and cucumber. As the weather has been warming up, I found myself reaching for this lotion more often.
However, I do have a few gripes about this product. Firstly the lotion takes longer to sink into my skin than when I use a Body Butter, despite the thinner consistency, and it was also really hard to get the lotion out of the bottle. As I loved the scent of this, I’d like to try the Body Butter next time or another bottle of the shower gel, which I tried before and liked.
Repurchase? Probably not, but I will try other products from this range.
Avon Senses Spa Oriental Sanctuary Shower Gel
I haven’t ordered from Avon for years, however, I recently ordered this shower gel and a few other bits. In the past I remember not loving Avon’s shower gels, but as this one was on offer for a £1 and it was described as having a ‘satsuma and lotus flower’ scent, I had to give it a go.
Firstly the lid just wouldn’t open, I had to pull the whole top off this shower gel if I wanted to use it, and secondly, it didn’t smell great. I got no hints of satsuma, it just had a dated floral scent and reminded me of other Avon shower gels I’ve tried in the past.
Repurchase? No, I’ve learned my lesson when it comes to Avon shower gels.
Lush Bouncy Bunny Shower Jelly
This Shower Jelly was part of Lush’s Easter range and I really did love it. It was shaped liked a bunny, so it looked super cute and the smell was amazing! It contains Brazilian Orange Oil and is possibly the nicest citrus smelling product I’ve ever used.
Repurchase? Sadly not as it was an Easter special, but if it’s re-released next year then definitely.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products.
