A Body Shop Haul

Recently The Body Shop had 30 and 40% discounts online, so I took full advantage and placed two orders. Here’s what I got in my haul.

Pinita Colada Gift Essentials

image

As there was a 30% discount online, I ordered myself this limited edition gift set as a treat. I’ve been keen to try the Body Shop’s Pinita Colada range and it doesn’t disappoint. It smells just like a Pina Colada cocktail, with notes of pineapple, coconut and cream and feels super summery. In this set you get a mini shower gel, a full sized body butter, a body scrub and a shower pouf.

Strawberry Body Sorbet

image

As I spent over £10, I got this Body Sorbet for free! I’ve never tried a Body Sorbet before and it has an unusual texture and feel compared to regular body moisturisers. I haven’t tried it properly yet, but I can’t wait as it smells gorgeous.

Fuji Green Tea Festive Picks

image

After I ordered the Pinita Colada gift set, the Body Shop had a 40% discount online, so I decided to place a bigger order. The first thing I bought was this Fuji Green Tea set, which has been on my wish list for a while. It has such a clean, fresh scent, that’s a mix of green tea and cucumber.

For some reason this set is classed as a Christmas special, despite it having more of a summery smell than a winter one. It also has a festive red bow on the box. In this set you get a large shower gel, a small body butter and body scrub, a soap and a shower pouf.

Strawberry Shower Gel

image

I love nicely scented shower gels, as I use them to wash in the bath as well as the shower, given I’m not a huge fan of regular soaps. Strawberry is a classic, sweet scent, that’s perfect for summer.

Coconut Shower Cream

image

Coconut is another scent that reminds me of summertime and warmer weather, so I ordered this mini as it’s a nice travel sized product.

Travel Kit

image

I’m on a mission to decant my creams and liquids into smaller bottles and containers when I travel. My luggage is always far too heavy, so this set should come in handy. It contains three plastic bottles, two plastic jars, a spatula for creams and a clear plastic bag, which is also good for travel.

Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

image

I’ve been meaning to try one of the Body Shop’s Camomile Cleansers for a while, as I often forget to cleanse and this is supposed to be very gentle at removing makeup and dirt. I somehow managed to order two bottles by mistake and didn’t realise until my parcel arrived. I’m hoping this is a great product or I will include the other bottle away in a future give away, as I know a lot of people love this Camomile Cleanser.

Muslin Cleansing Cloth

image

I haven’t got any soft cloths to cleanse with and use on my face, so I bought this to use with the Camomile Cleansing Oil.

Organic Cotton Pads

image

I added these on to my order as I’d run out of cotton pads. These ones are a little bit more pricey than what I’d usually pay, but I’ve tried them before and they’re soft and large in size, so I end up using less of them. They also feel a bit thicker and more sturdy.

All-In-One Instablur Primer

image

Despite being reasonably happy with the Smashbox primer I’m currently using, I’ve been looking for something that can control shine a little bit more. I’ve heard great things about this primer and how it mattifies skin, so I’m looking forward to seeing if it works.

Slanted Brush

image

I tend to use cheaper brushes on my brows that don’t last long, but as there was 40% off I decided to give this one a try. It’s definitely a bigger brush than I was expecting, so I’m not sure how well it will work with eyebrow gels and waxes, but I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.

Large Nail File

image

I always like a nail file to carry in my handbag and as my one is looking a bit tatty, I got this one.

Strawberry Hand Cream

image

The final item I bought is this strawberry hand cream. I’ve tried it once before and it smells amazing, just like a strawberry milkshake. My hands are a bit sore and dry from the rather erratic British weather, so I thought this would be handy to keep in my bag.

So that’s my Body Shop Haul. I’ve just placed another order, as I got a free voucher and there’s been more discounts, so I’ll do another post on the few things I got. Let me know what bits you love.

  1. I’m in love with pretty much everything you picked up! I very nearly picked up the strawberry body polish in summer so I’m interested to hear how you get on with that! I really want to try the strawberry hand cream next after I’ve used up my others 🙂 Next time I’m in store I’ll have to smell the Green Tea scent as I still haven’t and I know you really like it. I’ve heard great things about Instablur too xx

    • Aaw thank you☺ I’ve got a few more bits to arrive yet. The strawberry body polish looks different to anything I’ve tried before, so I’m looking forward to using it. The strawberry hand cream smells so nice. It’s not as nourishing as some other hand creams, but I like it and it’s non-greasy☺ I’ve heard a lot about Instablur being great, so I’m hoping it’s as good as I’ve heard. You definitely need to smell the Green Tea scent. It’s a unusual one though, as it took me a while to like it when I got minis before. But now I appreciate it smells really fresh and clean smelling. It’ll be nice to use in sunmertime, if it ever warms up here☺😂 xx

    • I love coconut too. Especially at the moment as we head toward summer. I bet some of the body butters and bits can be a bit much for humid weather. The body sorbets should be lighter and some of the less creamy shower gels☺ Over here it’s mostly cooler weather so I can use heavy products but like you I try to use lighter stuff in the summer x

      • bath and body word as well as crabtree and evelyn have lighter products but cost about the same or sometimes more if there isnt a sale or promotion. so i prefer to go with the body shop. yes summer smells have arrived on the equator too.

      • We have crabtree and evelyn. I’ve never tried any of their stuff though. I will take a look in future. We don’t get b&bw sadly. We get a lot of Body Shop discounts and I like their products, so I buy there a lot now. I love summer scents. All the fruity coconut and pineapple ones. I also like green tea products as they smell fresh and light x

  2. Oh. My. God. That is a really decent haul! 😍😄 I love the gif boxes! Nice package is always a weakness of mine! I love love love your post! 👍 I love the strawberry shower gel. It has such a great scent. The Green tea set is perfect for summer. I currently use green tea shower gel and sorbet. I have tried InstablurTM eyeshadow primer. I didn’t like it at all. I hope face primer is better. Let me know what you think of it. Also, if you want a good primer and you have acne prone shiny skin, you should try Tea Tree Pore Minimiser. It’s perfect primer and it mattifies the skin. I’m not a fan of Pinta Colada series scent although the body scrub looks like something I need in my life 🙈

    • Haha the haul just kept growing😂 The gift boxes are so nice. Would be perfect as a present for someone or just for yourself☺ I love the strawberry shower gel, it’s a classic Body Shop product. The green tea is really fresh, so it’s lovely for the warmer weather. Oh that’s a shame. I tested it on my hand when it arrived and it feels quite siliconey. I’ll let you know how I get on with the primer. I will keep a look out for the Tea Tree primer. I get dry patches as well as shine, so do you think it’d work for my skin type? Haha the scrub does look lovely!☺ x

  3. You are making me all kinds of jealous right now! I’m DESPERATE to have the pinita colada range. When it was released I ran into the store and they’d sold out and I was just smelling the tester pot they had crying in the corner haha! I’m hoping I’ll get it for my birthday, it was one of the most gorgeous scents EVER!
