So today it is one year since I posted my first ever blog here on WordPress! That year has flown by and I’m so grateful to have followers who enjoy what I write about and also engage with me. I’ve got to know so many bloggers that I now consider friends. So thank you to all of you!
As an autumn special and to celebrate my first blogiversary, I’m doing a collaboration with Faded Rouge. So here’s my five favourite things this autumn.
In the UK the weather turns cooler and crisper in autumn and I associate Halloween with the changing of the season. This year I went all out, as my family and I decorated the house, carved pumpkins and made our own pumpkin face masks. I also enjoyed Halloween themed foodie treats on the actual day.
I used to burn candles all the time, but the past few years I’ve neglected them. However, this year as soon as the weather changed, I started to use some new candles I got, such as Zoella’s Gingerbread Village. As I love summer and I’m not a fan of darker days, candles help me feel a bit more cosy and cheerful.
Lazy Weekends In
I love the warmer weather and being outside, but as the weather is rainy and cold at the moment, I’ve been enjoying lazy Saturday evenings in with my partner. We order in a pizza, eat chocolate and watch TV and I love it.
Firework Night was at the start of this month and as November feels more like winter, it’s nice to eat warm comfort food whilst seeing fireworks light up the sky.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance
I couldn’t do an autumn favourites post and not mention this eyeshadow palette! I’ve been using this non-stop since September as the colours are beautiful, they have good pigmentation, they’re creamy and are also long wearing. This palette is a total dream to work with.
