The shopping channel QVC started their own beauty box this summer, so I’m doing a much overdue review of the first two boxes.
QVC’s beauty box is called Tili, which stands for Try it, Love it. A new box is released every three months and costs £20 including delivery. The great thing about Tili is that you can see what will be in the box in advance before you decide to buy it. There’s no subscription like many other beauty boxes.
Compared to other brands such as Birchbox, this box is huge and the product sizes are more generous.
Starting with the first ever Tili box, which was out in July. The July box contained eight products, including one full sized one.
Nexxus Nutritive Shampoo & Conditioner
I was really impressed and pleased that the Tili box included a good sized bottle of both the Nexxus Nutritive Shampoo and Conditioner. I got quite a few uses from both products and I absolutely loved the shampoo and conditioner. I’ll definitely be buying from Nexxus in the future.
Vita Liberata pHenomenal Self Tan Mousse and Mitt
No I haven’t spelt this self tan wrong, it is pHenomenal. Vita Liberata is a great brand and I love the thought that’s been put into this box, as there’s a mitt to apply this fake tan with. However, I never use fake tan. I’m undecided on whether to give this a try or save it for a giveaway, but at the moment I’m opting for the latter.
Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water
Oh Tili box, what are you doing to me?. I’ve not been a huge fan of micellar waters in the past, but I loved this one! Not only did it remove my makeup with ease, but my skin looked healthy and glowing after using this. As it costs £24, I’ve held off buying it for now, but I will purchase it in the future.
Essie Ballet Slippers Nail Polish
I haven’t used this nail polish yet, but it’s a classic pale pink and a full sized bottle.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold
When I received this in my box I was super excited, as it’s a much hyped up product. I used this every other night as suggested and have now finished this product up. I didn’t find this did much for my complexion, as it didn’t brighten up my skin, however it did make my skin look smooth and more taut.
Becca Backlight Priming Filter
Becca is a brand that I really wanted to try, so I was happy to get this primer in my box. I’ve only just started using it, but it creates a soft focus and glowing base for makeup.
Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion Serum
The final product in the July box was this Bare Minerals Serum. Now I’ve worked my way through my skin care stash, I can start trying this out. This serum is supposed to be great for moisturising and brightening skin, as well as reducing wrinkles and ageing.
The October Tili Box
The second Tili box was released last month and again contained eight products. This box contained a whopping four full sized products, making this a fantastic beauty box.
Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara
The first product that QVC announced as being in this box, was this Tarte mascara and it lured me in. Tarte is a brand I’ve wanted to try for quite some time, so I was delighted to receive a full sized mascara.
Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Make-Up Primer
I’ve been loving Laura Geller makeup lately, so this tinted primer is a welcome addition to my collection. Not only is this full sized primer huge, but the glowing bronze shade should add a touch of colour to my skin this winter.
Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen
I don’t often wear eyeliner, but this long lasting gel one from Pixi looks great. I’ve never tried any of Pixi’s products, so I’m looking forward to using this.
NIOD Multi-Molecular Hyaluronic Complex
This serum from NIOD contains twelve forms of hyaluronic compounds to help plump and hydrate skin. It’s also meant to help improve skin elasticity and target fine lines and wrinkles. All of this sounds fantastic, especially as my skin’s feeling a bit dry at the moment. Even more impressive is that this 15ml bottle is worth £19, as it’s a half sized sample.
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Moisturiser SPF2o
Another product that contains hyaluronic acids. This moisturiser is supposed to be great for plumping, firming and of course hydrating skin. It’s also oil free and contains SPF20. As this is ideally for drier skin types, I’ll be using this throughout winter when my skin needs a bit of extra help.
Percy & Reed Abundantly Bouncy Volumising Mousse
Another huge full sized product. This hair mousse from Percy & Reed is creamy and moisturising, so it shouldn’t leave hair crunchy unlike a lot of other hair mousses. You work this product through wet hair from root to tip, before blow drying.
Philosophy Amazing Grace Shower Gel
This Philosophy product is actually a three in one shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo. It has a very floral, feminine scent and I really enjoyed using this little sample up.
OPI Russian Navy Nail Polish
I know this is a super popular nail polish and it’s one I’ve not yet tried from OPI. As the name suggests, this is a pretty navy shinmer, with red and gold particles which can make the polish appear purple in the bottle.
The second box in my opinion, was even better than the first with tonnes of full sized items. I can’t wait for the third box, which isn’t actually out until February.
I’m guessing it’s a four month wait between this and the next one, so the release date falls better. I’m pretty glad, as I’ll have enough Christmas goodies to play with in January, so this gives me something to look forward to in February.
Let me know if you’ve tried the Tili box.
Looks like a fun box …..xx

Tili aka Try it, Love it – that’s such a CUTE name for a box! Bravo on the name alone. 🙂
But wow, the samples are really generous. You can actually determine if you like / hate something with these samples. Those single use foil packettes are completely useless to me.
That Elemis Smart Cleanse Micellar Water sounds amazing! Now they got you… hahaha, pay out the big bucks! 😉 Perhaps put that on your Christmas wish list?
The Becca Backlight Priming Filter sounds great too. I had that Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen and it was pretty good – it was a little too melty and smeared all over for me though. I ended up giving it away.
I have Essie Ballet Slippers – as I recall it was a pain in the ass to apply (streaky). And how timely with the OPI Russian Navy polish!
I still maintain that the UK beauty boxes are WAY better than we can get here!

It is a great name☺ That’s what I like about this box, you’re not just getting a product you can only get one use out of. I get enough uses to know if I like a product☺
Haha exactly. They’ve lured me in with the Elemis Micellar Water and Nexxus shampoo.
I’ve been trying the Becca Primer and so far, so good😊 That’s why I rarely use pencil/gel eyeliners. They smear. I can imagine the Essie polish could be streaky. It’s the kind of light shade that usually applies badly for me. I am very happy about the OPI polish. Can’t wait to try it☺ I’ve seen beauty boxes from some other countries and they’re not the best. It’s a shame that some have a tonne of one use packets etc. This is by far my favourite beauty box, as it’s well worth the money☺ x

Also it’s good that you can see what is going to be in each box before it comes out and you don’t have to commit to subscribing like other boxes 😊

It is good. I found some other beauty boxes disappointing as you don’t know what you’re getting and I had to unsubscribe. I’m hoping the February one is just as amazing as the first two😊 x

oh my thats such a good box, literally filled with such good things! Ive also tried Nexxus shampoo and conditioner, i love it too. I usually rotate between a few and Nexxus is definitely one of them. I have my eyes on those nailpolishes, essie especially its my favorite brand. Hows the pixi liner- it looks nice and bold but does it come off too thick?

It’s a really great box. I’m glad you love the shampoo and conditioner too😊 I tried the eyeliner at home and it didn’t seem too thick. Sort of a happy medium. It seemed to apply and glide nicely😊 xx

I love this box – I kind of like that they make us wait 3 months rather than churning it out every month, makes me want it even more. Hopefully it gets better and better, so far I’m really impressed with what they’ve had to offer – I’m hoping we maybe see some liz earle in the next one as that’s a big brand for QVC that hasn’t been featured yet!

Me too. I get pretty excited waiting for the next one. Plus if it was monthly I bet the quality wouldn’t be there. Ooh they could do in the Feb box. It’ll be intetesting to see what’s in it. I hope it’s as good as the two we’ve had☺ xx

It looks amazing! I’ve never been one for subscription boxes but this one sounds pretty cool 🙂 Just curious- what do you use instead of micellar water and why aren’t you keen on them (other than this Elemis one)? I love micellar water and may have to try this one myself as your review of it makes it sound rather good 😀

It’s such a good box, I can’t wait ’til February☺ I use face wipes mostly, as I can’t use any liquids or oil makeup removers on my eyes. They’re too sensitive. Other Micellar Waters I find cut through makeup fine but are a bit drying and harsh. This one makes your skin feel balanced, healthy and more dewy☺ I really loved it. I hope you do too if you try it😊 xx

Do you know what products will be in it yet? Ahh I see, it’s definitely easier sometimes to use face wipes when removing eye makeup. I’m definitely going to try this micellar water at least 🙂 I’ll let you know how I get on with it xx

It’s one of the newest boxes but it’s a good one😊 I know all of the brands, a fair few are American but also some are UK ones. Definitely worth the money as there’s full sized or good sized samples😊 x
