As I mentioned in one of my last posts, I have three amazing beauty advent calendars this year. I posted about what I got in each calendar for day one, so here’s an update on what gifts I’ve got the past few days.
Tanya Burr 12 Days of Christmas Beauty Calendar
On day two I opened up my calendar to find a mini nail file. Usually I’m not too excited about nail files, but this one is great for keeping in my bag and I love the different pastel colours on both sides.
Day three was a mini pocket mirror. Mirrors are another thing I don’t usually get that excited about, but everything in the Tanya Burr calendar is just super cute. I’ve popped this in my bag along with the nail file.
Day four was back to makeup. Inside was an eye shimmer pot in the shade Champagne Sparkle. I don’t have many loose glitters and this is a pretty bronzey gold, ideal for Christmas time.
Today’s gift was this beautiful lip gloss in the shade Berry Pavlova. Not only is the formula lovely, but it’s a classic and flattering red. Again, great for the lead up to Christmas.
The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar
Day two contained a bath/shower lily. Over the past year I’ve used bath lilies a lot more as they’re great at lathering up body washes. Whilst I was glad to receive another one, I do feel the quality of this one isn’t as good as the one I got in last year’s Body Shop calendar.
In day three I got a small pot of the Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I have to admit, I wasn’t that excited to get this. I use a Clinique day moisturiser and already have a mini jar of this that I use if I stay at my partner’s. I find this an okay moisturiser but it’s not my favourite.
I was very happy with yesterday’s gift as I got a small bottle of the Frosted Berries Body Lotion. It smells good enough to eat and is part of the Christmas range.
Today I got a Soft Facial Sponge to cleanse skin and help remove makeup. Whilst I will use this, it’s another item I wasn’t that excited to get.
Look Fantastic Advent Calendar
On day two I got a Ritual of Sakura Body Lotion by Rituals. This is a generous 70ml tube, which retails for £6. It applies velvety smooth and has a sweet Cherry Blossom scent.
Day three impressed me yet again. I got a Loose Mineral Blush by Inika. I’ve never tried a loose mineral blush or any of Inika’s products, so I’m happy I got this. The shade Blooming Nude is definitely darker than I expected, as it’s a warm coppery bronze. If it’s too dark to use for now, then I’ll stash this away for summer.
Yesterday’s gift was the Sleep Plus Pillow Spray by This Works. Whilst I’m happy with this, I know my partner’s got me some of This Work’s sleeping sprays for Christmas. However, as I’m a poor sleeper, I’ll be trying this out as soon as possible.
Today’s gift was excellent yet again! I got a 25ml bottle of the Moroccanoil Treatment. On Look Fantastic’s website, this retails for £13.45! This is an amazing product for all hair types, plus Moroccanoil is a fairly pricey brand, so I’m really happy with this.
So that’s the first five day’s worth of gifts from my Beauty Advent Calendars. I’ll be posting in a few days on what other goodies I get.
