Beauty Advent Calendars Days 14-18

So we’re up to day eighteen on my advent calendars. Not long to go! Here’s a look at what gifts I’ve got from my beauty calendars the past few days.

The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar

Day 14

On day fourteen I opened up my calendar to find a mini British Rose Shower Gel. I really love the Body Shop’s British Rose range as it has a fresh, true rose scent, whereas a lot of rose scented products can smell artifical and dated. So I’m very happy with this!

Day 15

On day fifteen I got an eyeshadow brush. Whilst I’m not impressed that they’ve included yet another item that was also in last year’s calendar, I do love this brush. I use the one I have a lot, so I’m secretly happy to have a spare.

Day 16

On day sixteen I received a Mango Whipped Body Lotion. This smells gorgeous and summery and it makes a nice change from the heavier, wintery scents I’m currently using. I’m looking forward to trying this out.

Day 17

On day seventeen I got a Brow & Lash Comb. This is a beauty tool that I didn’t already own but have been meaning to buy! The quality of this is good and it’s another item I’m happy to receive.

Day 18

And today I got the Camomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover. I’ve said in quite a few posts that my eyes don’t agree with liquid makeup removers, so I have to use face wipes instead. However, I nearly bought this the other day as it’s meant to be really gentle even for sensitive eyes, so I’m pleased that I get to try this out.

Look Fantastic Advent Calendar

Day 14

On day fourteen I opened my calendar to find Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser. Usually I’m not too excited to get moisturisers but this is Origins! This is a lightweight, oil free face cream that is meant to be great for making skin look hydrated and glowing.

Day 15

On day fifteen I got the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Multi-Purpose Dry Oil in Golden Shimmer. I’ve heard a lot about this brand and this particular product, so I was excited to see it in the calendar. However, as soon as I opened the bottle, I hated the strong floral and nutty scent.

This oil can be used on the body, face and hair and adds a light shimmer to skin. However, I’m undecided on whether I’ll keep this or give it away.

Day 16

On day sixteen I got a mini Pur Impact + Mascara. Pur is a brand that I love and their foundation is one of my must have makeup items, so I was happy to see this brand featured.

This mascara is meant to be great at building volume and intensity, as well as containing conditioners to keep lashes healthy. I’m really excited to try this mascara.

Day 17

On day seventeen I received a Bellapierre Gel Eye Liner in the shade Ebony. Despite being a gel eye liner, I’ll be keeping this as I’ve never tried any Bellapierre products and after reading about it online, it sounds pretty good.

This eye liner is meant to be super creamy and also waterproof.

Day 18

And today I got the Codage Micro-Peeling Mask. The full sized version of this face mask is pretty pricey, so I’m really pleased to have a mini tube to try out.

This gel like mask contains fruit enzymes and salicylic acid and is meant to unblog pores, eliminate spots, dead skin cells and all other skin impurities. It’s also meant to reduce fine lines and areas of discolouration.

So that’s my roundup of what gifts I got in my beauty calendars. I’ll be doing another update in a few days.

  1. It´s been crazy hectic time for me and I haven´t really had a change to read my favourite blogs, but here I am. I read all your Christmas Calendar posts and I have to say, our calendars have quite a similar filling. We both got the same lip and eye pencil, eyelash curlers, eyeshadow brush, face cleansing sponge, apple shower gel, and I think there was something more. I wanted actually the third calendar but they didn´t sell it here nor they do international shipping, Don´t you find it weird? Such a big company with stores almost everywhere and then no international or even between stores shipping? I find it odd.
What calendar has been your favourite so far?

    • That is strange. We could get all three calendars here, so really it should be the same everywhere. Especially as you can get the other calendars. I’ve enjoyed all three, but Tanya Burr was great for the money as it was affordable. I think Look Fantastic. It has a lot of good brands x

  2. All 3 of these are super cute! I was in Sur La Table and I saw one made out of wood that you could put things in. I almost bought it but I didn’t. I think I will get a really cute calendar next year because it’s fun to get a surprise ever day. I saw the Charlotte Tilbury one this year and I was intrigued but I’m so trying to cut back!

  3. I didn’t realise the British Rose shower gel from was clear, don’t think I’ve seen a clear shower gel before. The eyeshadow brush looks really good quality and I can’t wait to hear how you get on with the brow/lash comb and the eye makeup remover! The mini Pur mascara is so cute 😊 x

  5. I have gotten the Ginzing as a sample from Sephora and I love it. It doesn’t just make my skin glow, but it makes me feel invigorated. I also just bought an eyebrow brush and am in love with it! Enjoy your goodies! ❤
