I can’t believe this is one of my last beauty calendar updates, with tomorrow being the last one! So here’s a look at what gifts I got in my calendars this week.
The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar
I opened up my calendar on day nineteen to find a Shea Lip Butter. I love the Body Shop’s Shea range yet I’ve never tried this product before, so I’m happy to have got this.
On day twenty I got another product that I’ve not tried before! It’s the Polynesian Island Tiare Shower Gel. This has a very summery, floral scent that I usually dislike, but from smelling this in the bottle it seems pretty nice.
On day twenty one, I got a nail file. Whilst it’s a good quality item, for me it’s not the most exciting gift to receive.
On day twenty two I got a Pink Grapefruit Hand Cream. I’m always happy to receive hand creams in winter and this smells beautiful and summery.
Yesterday, I opened up my calendar to find a nail polish in the shade Frosting Fancy. I haven’t got many pinky white polishes like this in my collection, so I’m looking forward to trying this out.
And today I got a full sized Strawberry Body Butter. I can safely say that I wasn’t expecting this! I love The Body Shop’s Body Butters, so I’m very happy with today’s gift.
Look Fantastic Advent Calendar
On day nineteen I got a Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream. As I get a very dry under eye area, which will only worsen with the cold weather, I’m very happy to have got this. It’s meant to be great at reducing dark circles, fine lines and puffiness, as well as providing hydration.
On day twenty I got this Redken One United Multi-Benefit Treatment. This is a conditioning spray that is meant to have twenty five benefits, such as nourishing hair, reducing dryness and tangles, preventing heat damage and split ends, as well as many more. This sounds amazing, so I can’t wait to try it out.
On day twenty one I received the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. This Microfoliant helps to get rid of dead skin cells and make skin smoother, brighter and clearer. A cross between a cleanser and a scrub, you take a small amount of this powder and mix it with water so that it becomes a paste, before then massaging it into your skin. The final step is to rinse it off.
This is a pricey product and different to anything I’ve tried before, so it’s another product that I’m really happy to have got.
On day twenty two I opened my calendar to find a Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash. Despite seeing this brand in shops all the time, I’ve never tried any of their products! The packaging of this is lovely and it has an unusual peppery scent, so I’ll be using this soon.
Yesterday I got a pack of Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths. These cloths contain Vitamin C and help to brighten, cleanse and refresh skin. As I often use face wipes, these will come in handy.
And today, I got a Look Good Feel Better Eye Shading Brush. Not only does this brush look great but all money made from LGFB purchases goes towards funding workshops on skincare and makeup for those affected by the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
I’m pleased that Look Fantastic have included an item that supports such a great charity. Look Good Feel Better is all about giving those who are going through cancer treatment confidence in their appearance.
So that’s my roundup of what gifts I got in my beauty calendars this week. I’ll be posting tomorrow about what the last two doors hold.
