Day seven started with bagels for breakfast and an early start.
After eating and getting ready, we headed to the Pulitzer Fountain for the Sex and the City tour we’d booked.
As a fan of the TV series, I was super excited to hop on the tour bus and visit locations from the show.
Our first stop was at the stunning Buddakan restaurant, which is where Carrie and Big’s rehearsal dinner was held in the first Sex and the City Movie.
As soon as we walked in, I could see why it was chosen as a filming location. It’s such an elegant and beautiful restaurant.
As we was leaving Buddakan, we had a pretty surreal moment. We saw Sarah Jessica Parker who plays Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City!
I mean what are the chances?! Our tour guide said she’d only ever seen SJP a few times before whilst doing the tour, so we was incredibly lucky.
Sarah Jessica Parker said a few words to us all before she had to dash off to a meeting. It was a pretty awesome start to the day.
After our chance meeting, the next stop on our tour was to Carrie’s apartment. Whilst the interior of the apartment is shot on a TV/Film set, the recognisable stoop and outside area is situated in New York’s, West Village.
Just around the corner from Carrie’s apartment is The Magnolia Bakery, which was often featured on the show.
We tried a cupcake each and their famous Banana Pudding, both delicious but the Pudding was very rich and filling.
We saw several other filming locations, before having our last stop of the day at Onieal’s bar.
On Sex and the City, Onieal’s bar is called ‘Scout’ and is owned by the characters Steve and Aidan.
All of our tour group drank Cosmo cocktails, which was the cocktail of choice on the show.

After a really fun tour, we was dropped back by the New York Public Library, another filming location for Sex and the City.
Carrie and Big were supposed to get married inside the library, before he got cold feet and didn’t show up.
The stairwell where the dranatic scenes happen in the movie.
Even if you’re not a fan of Sex and the City, the library is worth a visit as it’s beautiful.
After visiting the library, we decided to pop into some shops and wander around for a bit.
Before going to The View Restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner.
The View is a revolving restaurant that slowly rotates, offering different views of the city.
Our food from the buffet.
After filling up at the buffet station, we walked to Broadway. We had tickets to see Anastasia, which I was excited about.
Whilst I did think it was a pretty good show, I did think it was a little drawn out and long. Nonetheless, it’s still nice to have seen a Broadway show.
After another busy day, we headed back to our hotel, ready for day eight.
