April was a month where I really pushed myself to achieve my resolutions, particularly healthy eating and exercise. So here’s a look at how I got on in April.
1-Eat Healthy and exercise
Tick and tick! The very first day of April I started back at the gym and have been going three to four times a week since. I’ve also started using a personal trainer.
As well as going to the gym, I’ve got back into healthier eating. I’ve had a few dinners out, but I’ve opted for the healthier choices and cut out our weekly takeaways.
I’ve started drinking two or more litres of water a day and drastically cut down my caffeine consumption too.
2-Read more
I managed to read one book this month. It was:
-Lonely Planet Best in Travel 2018.
3-Do 2 new things per month
At the Vegan Nights event I tried a few new food stalls, such as doughnuts from Vegan Delice and a burger from Arancini Brothers.
I tried out and started wearing contact lenses.
I had my first session with a personal trainer.
Me and my parter tried doughnuts from Doughnut Time in London.
Ate at upmarket restaurant Cantina Laredo for the first time.
And watched a show in London.
4-Visit three NEW countries and three NEW cities (Any new towns or villages, or any extra countries or cities are a bonus)
No new places visited.
5-Try to use up what I have before buying more
I had a no buy month, so resolution achieved.
Bonus Round
In April I didn’t necessarily have ‘me time’ in the sense of pampering and long baths, but I started to take care of my physical health.
After being ill most of March and still feeling off early April, I made the decision to exercise and start eating well.

Aaw thank you😊 I had that issue for a long time, just a lack of motivation. After being ill from vitamin and iron deficiencies and feeling unfit, I felt more motivated to keep to it xx

I’ve had my share of health problems and they motivate me for approximately one week after I have gotten over it. LOL It’s pretty bad…

😂 I hear you. I think it’s only ‘cos I was nearly fainting and just so weak that I really made the change. Previous health issues never motivated me to change x
