This year I’ve tried to limit how much I spend and buy, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t still treated myself. So here’s a look at some of the bits I’ve bought lately.
Be A Mermaid & Make Waves Palette
Granted I didn’t need any more palettes, but how could I resist one as gorgeous as this?! Most of the shadows are golds and pinks, which are colours I usually opt for and I love the blue mermaid shades.
The packaging is also just stunning.
Tarteist Metallic Shadow in Amethyst
The main reason I got this eye shadow is it’s purple! Since I’ve had my hair pink and purple, I’ve loved matching makeup.
Mermaid Glitter Gel
I love this glitter gel! I recently wore it when I was at Disneyland Paris and it lasted all day.
Not only does it stay in place as it’s a gel product, but it can be used on your hair, body and face.
Busy Gal Brows Tinted Brow Gel in Taupe
I really wanted to try this brow gel, but I did debate whether I should buy it or not due to the shade range.
As I usually use light shades, I got this in the lightest shade available which is Taupe. So far this hasn’t worked for me as it’s very red toned, however it’s super pigmented which is unusual for a brow gel.
If Tarte introduce more shades, than I’d definitely try one which would suit me more.
Mermaid Waves Salt Spray
So far this is another product that I’ve found disappointing. I thought as it’s heading towards summer, I’d try out beachy waves.
This salt spray does work but it’s so drying! My hair just feels awful after using it. I’ll give it a couple more tries but so far I’m not a fan.
Eylure x Fleur de Force Brow Tamer in Light
Fleur teamed up with Eylure a while back to create some brow products and I really like this brow gel.
I’ve got through a couple of these brow gels, so this is a repurchase.
Maybelline Tattoo Brow Micro Pen Tint in Blonde
I saw the YouTuber Tina Yong use this and it gave her very natural looking brows. I’ve only briefly tested this and it didn’t give fine, defined strokes like I thought and like the Tarte brow product, is also a bit too red toned for me.
I’ll report back on this in the future, when I’ve tested it more.
Barry M Holographic Eye Toppers in Luna and Star Dust
I’d seen these liquid eyeshadows mentioned a lot on social media and decided to take the plunge and purchase two.
Luna is a blue and Star Dust is a pinky purple. I can’t wait to try these out soon.
Superdrug Kale & Coconut Facemasks
Superdrug Vitamin E Eye Cream
In March I visited the vegan Superdrug pop-up in London and picked up a few things I’d never tried. Both the face masks are for hydration and I love Vitamin E eye creams, so I decided to give this one a go.
