May flew by, but I still tried to keep to my resolutions despite it being a busy and quick month. So here’s how I got on.
1-Eat healthy and exercise
Achieved! I ate healthily for most of the month (other than at Disneyland) and I also upped my exercise. As well as going to the gym, I started using a personal trainer twice a week instead of once.
I read a lot of magazines, but sadly no books.
3-Do 2 new things per month
We visited Margate for the first time and went to the beach, the Turner Contemporary (art gallery) and the Shell Grotto.
Ate vegan ‘fish’ and chips at Shakey Shakey Fish Bar in Ramsgate.
Went on holiday to Disneyland Paris.
And also went to the Sea Life Paris (aquarium) and Val d’Europe shopping centre in the area.
Had a Slushie Ice Float.
Tried out the Phoenix Treatments & Beauty Eco Spa in Brighton.
4-Visit three NEW countries and three NEW cities (Any new towns or villages, or any extra countries and cities are a bonus)
In May we visited three new towns:
-Margate and Ramsgate in Kent
And France was a new country.
I technically went to France many years ago, but it was a bit of a miserable experience and I barely remember it. So this was my first time properly experiencing the country.
5-Try to use up what I have before buying more
Fail! I did quite a lot of shopping in May. Firstly at Disneyland Paris and the Val d’Europe shopping centre, then I bought quite a few summer essentials and new clothes.
Whilst I didn’t need a lot of the things I bought, clothes were essential as I only had one summer dress and one vest top!
I had a few pamper sessions and a spa day in May, so I had some ‘me time’. But it was also a busy month, so I didn’t have a lot of free time to myself to read and relax.
Let me know how you’re getting on with your New Year’s Resolutions.
