A couple of weekends ago, me and my partner had a busy day out in Essex. So here’s a look at what we got up to.
Our first stop of the day was at Ivory Hair & Beauty, which is a salon in Brentwood, Essex. I’ve recently started having my nails done there and whilst it is a bit of a drive, it’s worth it.
Still feeling in the Disney spirit after our holiday to Disneyland Paris, I went for Little Mermaid nails, which I love!
After a spot of pampering, we drove to nearby Hopefield Animal Sanctuary.
Hopefield is a not for profit organisation that’s run by volunteers. All of the animals are rescue animals that have mistreated or unwanted, however some come from loving homes but the owners can no longer look after them.
We saw surprisingly speedy tortoises.
A piggie cooling off in the mud.
Racoon dogs.
Cute rodents and rabbits.
Iguanas and lizards.
Beautiful horses.
My favourite, Peter Pan the pony. Such a sweet, gentle creature, with a very sad backstory.
Reindeers who’d arrived just a couple of days before our visit. They came from a loving home, but the owner could no longer care for them.
Alpacas.
And rheas.
After a great time seeing the beautiful animals and appreciating all the volunteers hard work, we drove home for dinner.
Car selfie.
Stuffed peppers, cous cous and tenderstem broccoli for dinner.
After dinner we headed back out, as we had tickets for an outdoor cinema event in Hainault Forest.
It was our first time going to an event like this and we saw the classic movie, ‘Grease’.
It was such a fun night. We sat on a blanket with our popcorn and everyone was singing along and dancing, there was a great atmosphere.
Just before midnight we arrived home, tired after a busy but amazing day.
That outdoor cinema sounds great ๐ I’ve been to a couple of outdoor screenings but not but not Grease. I bet it was a fun atmosphere!

Dirty Dancing. I can’t actually remember the others ๐ I remember Dirty Dancing because when Patrick Swayze first appeared on screen, all the ladies in the park went “wooooooo!” and I thought “Oh boy, what have I agreed to come watch?” Lol ๐

They all seem well cared for and happy. It’s such a sweet little place and very cheap to visit. I think I’ll go again to support their work๐ Aaw that sounds lovely. Will you go? Xx

The turtles are BIG! The sign saying don’t touch their heads because they bite is funny ๐ Poor Peter Pan ๐ฆ your makeup in the selfies is beautiful as always, the darker lip on you is nice ๐ not sure if you’ve mentoned it before but what foundation do you use? x

They are and fast. I don’t knlw what they’re feeding them๐ Haha I kept away from their heads! I know. I found it so sad someone could do that. I spent a really long time stroking him and he’s so gentle and sweet๐ Aaw thank you. I hadn’t worn a darker lip in ages. I use the Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation and I’m trying their CC cream which is good so far๐ x

I’m a bit scared of horses and ponies but I don’t think I would have been scared of Peter Pan ๐ I’ll have to Google both of those base products x
