January was a tough month for me. I was in the process of grieving for my grandad and didn’t look after myself as well as I could have. I still did well with my resolutions though, so here’s a look at how I did.
1-Eat Healthy and Exercise
January was the month of Veganuary, meaning there was a whole load of new vegan foods being launched and I tried a lot of them! Whilst I ate healthily at home, I did eat out a fair bit.
I managed to keep up my exercise, going to the gym, playing badminton and going body balance three times a week.
2-Read More
In January I read:
-Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2019.
3-Do 2 New Things Per Month
I tried a vegan sausage roll from Greggs.
And the Vegan Jack ‘n’ Cheese and Vegan Veggie pizzas from Pizza Hut.
I ate delicious chips from Poptata.
Had my first vegan gyros from The Athenian.
Made Crispy Chilli Tofu from the Bosh! Cookbook.
And met my cousin for drinks at the London Cocktail Club.
4-Travel/Go For Days Out
January was a quieter month for days out/travel as I wasn’t feeling my best, however, we still had a lovely day in Brighton.
We ate chips by the sea, walked along the pier and I visited my favourite spa, as my partner booked me in for treatments as a Christmas present.
5-Save Money
January was a mixed month for saving. Me and my partner booked a lodge for February and I bought his Valentine’s gifts so they were my main expenses. We also ate out quite a bit, but I didn’t do too badly.
6-Use My Phone Less
Not achieved. I do depend on my phone a lot, if I’m bored on the train, to look things up, to keep up to date with others lives. I used my phone as much as usual.
So that’s how I got on in January. Let me know how your New Year’s Resolutions are going.
How was the vegan sausage roll? I’ve heard a few YouTubers I watch mention them 🙂 those chips look droolworthy, definitely my weakness haha! Hope you enjoyed your time away at the lodge, your pictures and stories looked so cosy xx

Sending you so much love beauty! You have to take care of yourself and sometimes that means relaxing on goals. It is perfectly fine! Heck most people don’t even make resolutions (ahem me!) That food especially the pizza looks incredible! Day by the sea are the absolute best, even if it is cold and dreary! The sound alone makes everything better! I hope you have an amazing February! ❤
