This Valentine’s, me and my partner went away for the very first time! We’ve celebrated it, gone away near it, but never been away on the actual day ’til now. As we knew we’d be away, we decided to go (a bit) less crazy with the gifts. So here’s a look at what I got.

A Week Away in a Lodge

So this was a gift to each other, as we paid half each. We love the New Forest and we’ve been many times for Christmas and Easter breaks with my family.

We booked a new Zen lodge with a hot tub and it was super romantic and relaxing. The New Forest is not only one of my favourite places in the UK, but one of my favourite holiday destinations in general.

Spa Day

The day before Valentine’s, I went for a day of pampering at the on-site spa. I had a massage, facial and pedicure.

Flowers

I love flowers and the brighter the better! I absolutely loved the ones my partner got from a cute little shop in the forest as they came in a beautiful vase that I’ve kept. He also bought me tulips to put on the dining table in the lodge.

Love Of My Life Card

We watched the Bohemian Rhapsody film last year and went to a special sing-a-long screening last month, so we’ve been listening to a lot of Queen songs the past few months. My partner often plays and sings ‘Love Of My Life’ to me, so he got this adorable Queen themed card with a cartoon Freddie Mercury on the front.

Fitbit Charge 3

I’d thought about getting a Fitbit for quite some time as I wanted to see how many steps I do per day, so I was delighted to get one as a gift. I’ve worn it non-stop and it’s been a great motivator for me to be extra active.

  1. The flowers are so pretty! The Freddie Mercury card is adorable 🙂 I have a little FitBit I clip to one of of my clothing items each day and I still enjoy seeing how many steps I do in a day, I’ve had mine for about two years now and get sent weekly reports to see how well I’ve done. Your watch one looks nice though 🙂 Cute post ❤ xx

    1. They was beautiful flowers. I love bright colours😊 I know, such a cute card💕 I think I remember you saying you had a Fitbit. I’d wanted one for a while, mostly to see how many steps I do on holiday or at work. I wear it pretty much all the time to track my steps, heart rate, sleep etc😊 x

  2. You two are so sweet – I just got Ben a card that said “I could have ended up with worse haha”.
The lodge you stayed in looked like the perfect spot to relax in. I’m tempted to get a fitbit, I just use my phone to count my steps, but I must do more than I realise as I don’t always carry my phone with me on dog walks and around the office. It would be good to actually have an accurate count.

    1. 😂 I know a lot of people don’t go mad for Valentine’s Day. Did you go for dinner? The lodge was amazing, we’ve stayed at the same site maybe five times and we love it there. Having a hot tub was great😊 Yes I’d definitely recommend one! I find it interesting to track my steps, sleep, etc x

  3. The card “Love Of My Life” is so perfect – love that song. What a sweet Valentine’s Day. Our tradition is just to exchange cheesy greeting cards. 😛 His card to me for “Owl Always Love you” in the shape of an owl. Mine to him was “You’re Purrrrrfect” with a cat on it. 😆

I gave my SO a Fitbit for his birthday a few years ago and he wears it daily so I guess it was a good gift!

Don’t mean to sound creepy but you have such nice feet! The pedi colour is so pretty. 🙂
