Day Six
On our last full day in the forest, we drove to the small, nearby town of Fordingbridge.
A pretty little place, we walked around admiring it’s beauty and popped into the local shops to pick up some food items.
After a slow and relaxed morning, we drove back to our lodge to make breakfast.
I’d packed the Bosh! Cookbook, which is full of vegan recipes and decided to make the tear and share chocolate croissant.
I have to say it tasted amazing! I added more chocolate than the recipe suggested and the cooking time was longer than expected, but it was all worth it.
After a hefty breakfast, we decided to walk it off.
Sunny, beautiful views along the way.
The River Avon.
After a couple of peaceful hours surrounded by nature, we walked back to our lodge.
Where we sat outside reading our books and eating vegan ice cream.
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing in front of the TV and making a delicious chickpea and spinach curry from scratch.
Day Seven
Day seven was a sad day for us, as we checked out of our lovely lodge.
Not wanting to leave just yet, we had breakfast at the on-site restaurant Aubrey’s.
My partner got a veggie breakfast, whilst I had ciabatta bread with a medley of potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach.
After a big breakfast we played pool and some arcade games.
Before making our way to Longdown Activity Farm.
We saw many adorable animals, like these soft and fluffy guinea pigs.
But it was the baby goats that captured our hearts.
Not only was they super cute, but they was playful and loved being made a fuss off!
After the most perfect, relaxing and blissful week away, it was time to head home to London feeling refreshed and recharged.
You made that tear and share croissant?! It looks so professional and I bet it tasted yummy! I’ve never played pool before but I’d like to one day 🙂 glad you enjoyed your trip xx

Is it difficult to get the croissant pastry right?

Not really, I’d say the oven was just difficult as it took a lot longer to cook than it should. It wasn’t too hard to make x
