Last month, most of my favourite moments were days out and experiences. So here’s a look at what I loved.

Somerset

For the first bank holiday of the month, me and my partner went to beautiful Somerset for a few days. We stayed in a cosy cabin surrounded by stunning countryside; ate some great food, visited the beach and had a perfect few days.

Devon

For the second bank holiday in May, me and my partner went away again, this time to Devon. We stayed in a lovely little B&B and spent our days at the beach or exploring nature in Dartmoor National Park.

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

I’d seen this book receive so many great reviews that I had to purchase it. I have to admit, I was a few chapters in when I felt like putting it down as the book just wasn’t resonating with me and I didn’t get the hype.

Everyone online encouraged me to keep on with this book and I ended up loving it! Eleanor is definitely a character like no other and I found her more endearing and likeable as time passed. My only complaint is the ending was a bit rushed and I didn’t want the book to end.

Aladdin Movie

I love Disney but usually find the live-action remakes a bit of a disappointment, but not with Aladdin! I loved the movie; the special effects and also that the actors suited their characters so well. I’d love to watch this movie again soon.

Microblading Round Two

I first had my eyebrows microbladed in early April and my touch-up was six weeks later in May. I have to admit I did get my brows wet, I did go climbing in Devon etc, so I didn’t look after my brows as well as I should have, but I love them.

I used to spend a long time getting ready because of my eyebrows and now my makeup takes barely any time at all. Next year I’ll definitely be going back for a refresh.

So that’s my May favourites. Let me know what you’ve been loving lately.

  1. I’m glad you enjoyed reading Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine, I thought the ending was rushed too, it would have been nice to see the relationship between Eleanor and Raymond develop just that little bit further. I wonder if there will be a follow up book? x
