It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, so thank you Fed’s Life for nominating me.
So here’s the questions:
1-Do you have a favourite movie?
Yes! I have loved Titanic and Ghost since I was young. Newer favourites are A Star Is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody.
2-What type of music do you enjoy listening to?
I have pretty eclectic tastes. I like pop, rock etc. At the moment I’ve been listening to random music such as David Gray, The Cranberries and the Eagles.
3-If you were stranded on an island with only one book to read, which one would it be?
This is tough. I love To Kill a Mockingbird as it’s a real classic, but I also love many modern thrillers. TKAM is a lasting book though, so I would pick it still.
4-If you could learn the answer to any mystery, what would it be?
I’d love to know who Jack the Ripper really was! Having grown up in East London, I’ve always had an interest in the Ripper and have done many tours. My grandad was convinced his elderly neighbour in Whitechapel was Jack the Ripper, so I’d love to clear this mystery up.
5-What restaurant (or home cooked meal) would you recommend to readers?
My favourite home cooked meals are a mushroom bolognese, Thai curry or chilli (all vegan). My favourite restaurants are casual places that just do good food. In London I love CookDaily, SpiceBox, The Diner, VBurger and Arancini Brothers. I’m also a big fan of The Railway Pub & Kitchen in the New Forest.
6-If someone visited the area you live in, what would be the number one attraction they should see before leaving?
Well I grew up in an area where the only attraction is the Ford Car Factory, but equal pay for women started there so it’s pretty cool for that reason! In East London, I’d recommend Shoreditch and Brick Lane for food, street art and quirky shops. Spitalfields Old Market has great stalls for shopping and Victoria Park is lovely too.
7-What do you most look forward to doing when you get home?
Having a bath! After being on my feet all day and travelling to and from work, I love a bubble bath.
8-Do you have any irrational fears?
Yes, a fear of falling! I’m not afraid of heights, but if I’m high up and it feels unstable I get panicky about falling from a height.
9-Have you ever had an experience at the cinema that was so memorable you still remember it fondly?
Yes but mostly at outdoor cinema events, where’s there’s more audience interaction. We watched Grease at an outdoor event and everyone was singing along and dancing. We also went to a sing-along version of The Greatest Showman with whistles, etc to use throughout the film which was fun.
10-What is your favourite time of the year?
Summer!
11-Is there any jewellery or tattoo you have that has a special meaning to you?
All my tattoos were chosen because I liked the design more than any meaning. I have lockets my grandparents got me that mean a lot as they’ve passed away. I have pieces my partner got me that I cherish and I also wear a string bracelet that a monk tied on me during a Buddhist blessing.
Here are the people I’m nominating to do the Sunshine Blogger Award:
Hollie, Beauty and the bookshelves
K.M. Sutton, Live In The Nautical
And here’s my questions for you (I’ve stole some from Fed as I like his questions).
1-Do you have a favourite movie?
2-If someone visited the area you live in, what attraction should they see before leaving?
3-Do you believe in the one/soulmates?
4-What is your dream destination and why?
5-What is your favourite time of the year?
6-What do you most look forward to doing when you get home?
7-Do you have jewellery or a tattoo that holds a special meaning to you?
8-What is on your bucket list?
9-What are most looking forward to (within the next year)?
10-Where is your special place?
11-Would you rather be hot or cold?
Thank you for reading.

Oohh yes Iโd love to know who Jack the Ripper was too! I did a Jack the Ripper tour around London earlier this year, itโs so fascinating listening to all the conspiracy theories. The sing-along of The Greatest Showman sounds like so much fun too! Thanks for the nomination, looking forward to answering the questions. ๐

Ooh I love this hun, thanks for tagging me! That is CRAZY about your Grandad seriously… what made him think it was his neighbour? ๐๐ thatโs totally wild omg!!!! And on a brighter note.. The Greatest Showman and Grease sing alongs sound so much fun! I havenโt been to an open air or sing along cinema screening but Iโd love to! Haha it is wild! So he was a child at the time and lived with his mum (my great nan) in Whitechapel where the murders happened. This elderly neighbour probably late 70s at the time used to be a surgeon in Whitechapel Hospital. He knew loads about the cases that no one had said before, he had newspaper clippings. And he said to my great gran and my grandad he wanted to get all the details off his chest before he died, to clear his conscience. Outdoor cinema and sing-alongs are so much fun, I’d definitely recommend going to one๐ I love Ghost! I saw the musical three times too, it’s beautiful. Aaw thanks hun๐ x

Oh my gosh thanks for the nomination beauty! Can not wait to answer your questions! I LOVED reading yours! That is interesting that your Grandad thought your neighbor was Jack the Ripper. I would love to know if that is true or not! And girl baths and summers are the best! In which order I don’t know, because they are both fabulous! Thanks again beauty. I hope you have an amazing week! โค
