On our second day in Milan, we started by having breakfast in our hotel. I’m pretty gutted I didn’t take any photos of the buffet, as for three Euros a day there was a great selection of food, including bread and cheeses and the best mini custard doughnuts! Once we’d filled up on food we […]
Late May, me and my partner went on holiday to Italy for a week. Our flight to Milan was super early with my alarm going off just after 2am, too early for us to even grab our usual McDonald’s breakfast! Once on the plane we took an obligatory sefie, exhausted but excited. And then we […]
On Easter Sunday, we started the day with another delicious breakfast in our hotel, before exchanging Easter gifts. My partner, and both our families bought me lots of lovely Easter eggs. My boyfriend also got me some Lush bath bits and a Wet Brush, which I’d been looking at buying for a while. Then it […]
On our second day in Somerset, we woke up bright and early for breakfast in our hotel.
We started with toast and pastries, juices and smoothies and then it was time for the main event, pancakes!
With maple syrup and berries, it was delicious.
Feeling ready for the day, we set off for the city of Bath, which was a 25 minute drive from where we was staying.
Once we’d parked up, we walked to the Fashion Museum which I was most excited to visit. The Fashion Museum had two exhibitions on, A History of Fashion in 100 Objects and Lace in Fashion.
We started with A History of Fashion.
An 1840s silk wedding dress.
1920s flapper dresses.
A ‘fire’ fancy dress outfit from the 1920s.
A day dress that doubled up as wedding dress during the second world war.
A modern runway dress from the 2010s.
And then it was time to dress up!
Before admiring the Lace exhibition.
After a fantastic visit to the Fashion Museum, we walked around beautiful Bath.
We stopped off at Chai Walla for lunch and enjoyed Indian style street food. An onion bhaji wrap, with salad and seasoned with different spices. Really delicious!
Then it was time to visit the attraction which Bath is most famous for, the Roman Baths.
The city of Bath was founded upon natural hot springs and the Romans constructed the baths around 70AD for socialising and bathing. The water has a constant temperature of 46 degrees.
After the Roman Baths, we explored the city and the shops before driving back to our hotel.
Instead of getting dinner, we snacked on bits we’d bought like this delicious Belgian chocolate fudge.
Had fruity cocktails in the hotel bar.
And admired the gorgeous sunset from our bedroom.
Before relaxing and catching an early night. Ready for day three of our Easter break.
For Easter, me and my partner decided to go away for a three night break to Somerset, which is in the South West of England. On Good Friday we left just before lunch time. As the roads were busier than usual, it took us around five hours to reach Somerset. A car selfie to pass […]
March was a quieter month for me, where I caught up on work and had less days out. However, the month still managed to fly-by. So here’s a look at my month in photos. Food A Day at the Races and Dinner at Red Peppers Makeup Looks Gym Selfies 200 Blog Posts Products I’ve Been […]
On our last full day in Iceland, we had time to explore Reykjavik which is Iceland’s small and quirky capital city. We started our day as we did every other, with a cinnamon roll from the hotel’s cafe. Covered in caramel pieces, our hotel did the best cinnamon rolls we’ve ever tasted. As our hotel […]
